Job Summary StatementAVENG INFRASET Manufactures a diverse range of precast concrete products to world-class quality standards in compliance with the requirements of SANS using the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system. AVENG INFRASET is a business unit of the Aveng Group which actively pursues extensive global interests encompassing the building, construction, engineering, mining, manufacturing and steel processing industries JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans to drive Aveng Infraset Rossway revenue and growth. This would be attained through establishing and maintaining effective relationships both internally and externally, networking effectively to deepen existing relationships and attract new customers. Provide guidance and supervision to the team. Participate in product development projects and direct the actual distribution or movement of products and service to customers. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals and establish training programmes for sales representatives. Analyse sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.
Minimum RequirementsACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Relevant Tertiary qualification; Commercial, Sales & Marketing or Technical • Further specialist qualification or MBA would be an advantage. EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of 8 – 10 years Marketing & Sales experience is essential • Industry knowledge and experience is essential • At least 8 years’ leadership experience in leading sales teams • Solid commercial experience
Duties & Responsibilities• Developing and executing the Sales and Marketing strategy in line with the Business Unit’s strategy • Developing and managing the Sales and Marketing Budget • Providing direction and high-level functional guidance to the business in respect of market intelligence and the implementation of the marketing strategy • Ensure sales force effectiveness in order to grow revenue • Conducting regular market assessments to quantify opportunities and uncovering new opportunities through primary and/or secondary research • Ensuring the prospect pipeline is regularly updated and accurate • In conjunction with the Commercial function, review tenders and negotiate contracts • Oversee the creation of marketing collateral in brand building to raise our brand equity • Provide direction on how to optimise for better results • Developing Sales & Marketing metrics in order to evaluate the BU’s marketing impact • Excellent Technical aptitude • Managing client relationships, surveys and perceptions • Managing the performance of Sales teams • Have a network with professionals and developers • Identify market needs and increase product offering whilst proactively managing product portfolio
